In September 2021, a committee of citizens was formed which met over the course of 6 separate occasions and engaged more than 150 Belpre citizens to create a facilities plan. As a result, the Belpre City Schools Board of Education voted to place an issue on the May 3rd ballot. It is an 8.1 mill Bond Issue with a .5 mill permanent improvement levy.

We are all aware of the past unfair funding practices we’ve experienced at the state level. Well, good news. Things have changed in Columbus and now is the right time to take advantage.

We need 21st century educational facilities to empower our children and help them compete in today's workforce. Our facilities have an average age of 67.8 years old. They have served us well but have outlived their usefulness in many ways. Let's make that investment to get us through the next 60 plus years.
